My Creed
I remember having to do this at one of our courses. I felt that this was a good time to revisit.
· I believe that all children can learn to read.
· I believe that all teachers are teachers of Reading.
· I believe that the new literacies will increase my enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
· I believe that I must step out of my comfort zone so that my students will benefit from my new found knowledge and experiences.
· I believe that I can scaffold instruction to support my struggling readers so that they can become striving readers.
· I believe that I can integrate technology into my classroom successfully and create a rich literacy environment for my students.
I'll add to that
ReplyDeleteI believe that I can make a difference in spite of my working environment and the resistance of my colleagues to change.
The good thing is that there should be enough of us out there to revolutionize the way technology is integrated into the curriculum. I think the major issue may be the thought that the children should only see whats being done and not participate in the "doing".
I also believe that the change that is already here will make an impact on the classrooms in our country,the wonderful thing being we are now equipped to be a part of that change.
I believe all that and more.Howver, we have the power to make all of our belief a reality with the help of almighty god.We can do all things through him.Therefore, let us:
ReplyDeletego to our classrooms and teach our nation's children to read;
learn to use technology so that we can create rich literacy environment;
motivated ourselves and in turn motivate our students to learn;and
create a better society for everyone to peacefully and safe.
Teaching and Learning is our business -- so let us make it worthwhile and meaningful for everyone.
